EASY FOR LEARNING PHOTOGRAPHY


When a camera is described as easy for learning photography, it means it is relatively easy to pick up and use. Camera buttons, dials and terminology can be daunting, but not all cameras are made the same.

LIGHTWEIGHT


Often using a lightweight camera means you can focus on making images rather than being weighed down by hefty equipment. Lightweight cameras often complement users who value a "less is more" attitude, especially when it comes to packing for an outing or travel.

FULLY ARTICULATING SCREEN


A fully articulating screen can swivel away from the camera and rotated to face other angles, allowing for easy self-viewing during video shoots or selfies. Its flexibility enables shooting from diverse angles effortlessly and the LCD can be closed facing against the camera for added protection.

TILTING SCREEN


A tilting screen enables the camera’s LCD screen to be used for lower and higher compositions by tilting the screen up and down (2-way tilt). Some tilting screens are able to tilt out sideways (3-way tilt) which is helpful when holding the camera in portrait orientation.

IMAGE STABILISATION


Image stabilisation reduces camera shake in motion by stabilising the image sensor itself, crucial for clear shots at slower shutter speeds and filming handheld.

LARGE HAND GRIP


A large handgrip makes it easy to grip and hold the camera in your hand. This is ideal for those who have larger hands, someone who is using a camera for a long period of time, or balancing longer zoom lenses.

SLR STYLE


SLR style cameras have their viewfinder above the LCD display, in line with the lens. 

RANGEFINDER STYLE


Rangefinder style cameras have their viewfinders located on the left side of the camera body. This is ideal for those who would like to use their left eye to see their subjects coming into frame or would prefer their face not touching the back of the camera body.
