I’ve finally found my everyday camera. The Fujifilm X100VI hits that sweet spot of being small and light enough for me to not have that second thought of “Will I be taking photos today? Should I bring it with me today?”. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of carrying around a 15KG camera backpack when I’m travelling. The X100VI goes with me everywhere without a second thought.

Its reliability and updated features means I know I can count on it in all situations. My favourite new feature is the 40.2MP sensor. You might be asking why you need more megapixels? More megapixels means you can use the digital zoom feature to crop in from its 35mm lens (full frame equivalent) to 50mm & 70mm and still have a file that’s large enough to be usable. This makes the camera a lot more versatile because it’s like having 3 different lenses in this small, compact camera.

I also really like the new IBIS feature. It helps mitigate my shaky hands to get clearer, sharper photos - especially in lowlight situations where I have to use a slower shutter s peed. It also greatly improves its video capabilities as there is nothing worse than shaky video. It can now shoot up to 6.2K 30P in F-log which means it’ll fit into my video * colour grading workflow a lot smoother.

As a street & travel photographer at heart, I need a camera that is subtle and won’t distract my subjects or draw too much attention. It does a great job of looking great but staying out of the way. In my opinion it is one of the best looking & designed cameras on the market.
